In September 2017, Meizu has recently released the successor to previous year’s M5 set. It has been launched in China names as Meizu M6. This newly released budget mobile phone is just a small upgrade than its predecessor. It is carrying the same notable features that include 4G VoLTE, hybrid dual SIM support, and an octa-core processor. There are some other features too. Starting price of this mobile phone has been CNY 699 (roughly Rs. 6,800) for the 2GB + 16GB variant. The price is set CNY 899 (roughly Rs. 8,800) for the 3GB + 32GB option that is very similar to the pricing of the M5.
As far as the design of the set is concerned, the Meizu M6 resembles very much to the M5, especially from its front. There is the most noticeable change that comes on the back. There are silver metallic lines now along the top and bottom on the back of the mobile phone. Like its previous model, the M6is made up of a polycarbonate body. It has a metal frame around. It also has n mTouch fingerprint sensor under the home button on the front side of the smartphone.
There are much more similarities in the set like the new Meizu M6 sports the same 5.2-inch HD (720×1280) display with 2.5D curved glass on top just like the previous version that is M5. Meizu M6 is also created by the same octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor along with Mali T860 GPU that made the M5. There are 2 variants in the newly launched Meizu. The first one comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage and the second one comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Both of these can be expanded through a microSD card (up to 128GB). This mobile phone runs on Flyme OS 6.0 that is based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
There is a hybrid dual SIM (Nano+Nano/ microSD) in Meizu M6. It contains a 3070mAh battery and it is again the same as seen in the previous set that is M5. There are connectivity options that include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz), and Bluetooth 4.1, GPS / GLONASS etc.
Hence, Meizu M6 has very similar features as that of Meizu M5. The M6 is now available for order in China from September 25. It is getting popular in China.
